My Approach

I think of home decor as the finishing touches that turn a house into a home — as cliche as it might sound, it’s true! Decorative accents that are unique and have meaning to you can transform how a home feels and deepens your connection to it. Here’s how I help you create a home you love, one object and one layer at a time.

  • Before anything else comes YOU. Your home should be a reflection of you and your story. I want to get to know you - what you care about, what you like/dislike, what inspires you. These inputs will help me the right objects for you and tell your story through decor and styling.

  • I source home accents that are unique in some way — that could mean a little color, an interesting design detail, or something else that makes it stand out. These pieces offers the biggest visual impact and feels more special and personal as opposed to something a million other people have.

  • Quality matters. I like to find pieces that will last a lifetime, with a strong leaning toward vintage or craftmade pieces. This is a more sustainable approach and works with the idea of creating a collected home that builds over time.

  • My approach to styling is perfectly imperfect, with the aim for the aesthetic to appear lived-in and not overtly ‘styled’. I can accommodate a preference for a cleaner look or a more layered aesthetic.

The details are not the details. The details make the design.

Styling Projects

If you aren’t sure where to start, here are some ideas of areas where styling can drastically transform a space.

  • Art (or decorative object) to fill a blank wall

  • Shelves

  • Mantle

  • Tables - coffee table, console table, side tables

  • Bar cart

  • Dressing table

  • Plants as decorative accents

  • Bedroom accents (throws, area rug, bedside table decor)

  • Table settings / tablescape for dinner party or an event

  • Collections of tableware (formal or casual)

  • Bathroom accents

We can talk it through if you haven’t figured out exactly what to focus on. I can assess your space and help you narrow down the options to get the biggest outcome.
