DESIGN STORIES

Holiday decorations with floral and fauna designs are especially timeless. Imagine home accents that look like animals or things grown in the forest. These charming and sweet decorations are great to collect — they’re hard to tire of, and they’re so versatile. You can pull them out year after year and assemble them in different ways to create festive moments around your house. We’ve selected some of our favorite and most useful natural decorations and provided some ideas how to use them.

Festive Accents

A selection of festive accents to adorn sofas, towel racks and table tops, these can be used on their own as a nod to the festive season or grouped together to create elaborate tableaus.

Simple Natural Decorative Touches

Fill Containers with Fresh Things

Put branches (real or fake) in pitchers or vases.

Fill a decorative bowl with pinecones (like the ones above) or pears tied with velvet bows (as shown in this image).

Place them on side tables or coffee tables.

Create a Woodland Tableau

Start with a layer of greens, add babies breath to look like snow. Then add in figurines of animals, trees or other natural elements (see above).

Optional: make a wreath out of thyme or rosemary and a stack of logs out of cinnamon sticks wrapped with ribbon to enhance the scene.

Use as a table centerpiece or tabletop decoration.

Add Natural Touches to Table

Display natural elements like trees or animal figurines down the center of a table. Surround with votives lit with candlelight.

Tree Decorations

We look out for ornaments that pop on the tree and that can take on special meaning, associated with a memory or a person. In addition to unique ornaments, we also selected other stand out tree accessories, like a skirt and toppers.

Seasonal Table

Tableware with a natural feel creates a stunning holiday table, yet can also be used all throughout the season. We’ve grouped together table accents in neutral shades and festive reds to create the mood you’re going for be it bright and cheery or neutral and peaceful.
